Sleepworld is your friendly, local and family owned mattress store located in the heart of Edmond, Oklahoma. When it comes to purchasing a mattress we know you have way too many options! Don’t just buy a mattress based on name recognition alone, but instead make a knowledgeable decision with the assistance of experts in the field. We have mattress specialists on hand with the knowledge and expertise to help you select a mattress with the features you need to get a good night’s rest. When you shop, you won’t be bombarded with sales people. We have a different kind of sales strategy: we like to spend time with our customers by getting to know them and discussing what they need in a new mattress. We are low pressure, non commission sales people.  

 

Through our long history in the mattress industry, we developed our own mattress brand, Sleepworld. That’s right! We handcraft our mattresses locally in our warehouse which is attached to our showroom. Stop in, we would love to give you a tour!

Providing great sleep & legendary customer service since 1953!

 

Sleepworld has a long history not only in the Edmond community but across the state of Oklahoma as well.  We were founded in 1953 by Larry Adair which was where we got our original name, Adair’s SleepWorld. After 28 successful years Adair’s SleepWorld was sold to Herb Kimball, formerly with Spring Air Bedding. Herb grew Adair’s SleepWorld with his expertise in the mattress industry and included his family to help run the business. In 2004, Adair’s SleepWorld was sold to daughter Shari and husband Robbie Weeden. Owner, Shari says, “We were given the opportunity to buy the family business from my father and we were thrilled to continue his legacy. We knew we wanted to keep Adair’s SleepWorld in our family and knew it would make my father proud”. In 2007 as our business was growing and evolving, Adair’s was dropped from the name leaving our business simply, Sleepworld. In 2019, we rebranded the business with a new modern look to keep up with the ever changing mattress industry. No worries, we are still the same great company with the same great people with an awesome new look!
